Abstract

The purpose of this study to identify and explain  trends  in crime statistics  in the area of  criminal  law  Bandar  Lampung  Police  Resort  in  2007-2011.  This study uses  a quantitative approach,  as for  the type  of research used is  descriptive. Secondary data  used in  this study  include official   crime  statistics  in 2007-2011 were  sourced  from Bandar Lampung Police Resort, especially Puskodal  Ops and Criminal,  and data on  demographic  developments  derived  from the Central Bureau  of Statistics of Bandar  Lampung.  The results of  the analysis  showed  the total crime rate in 2007-2011 in the city of Bandar Lampung is fluctuating up and down. The peak value  is  the total  crime  rate  in 2009,  which amounted to 24.2. Then followed  in 2010  (23.3)  and  in 2007 (22.2). In this case, the crime of theft by weighting has a fairly high crime rate compared to other types of crimes.Kata Kunci: Crime trends, demographics.

Abstract

The family is the first place and educational environment especially for children to develop their personality. Parents teach their children things such as self-control, values  and social roles, so that when childern are mature enough to enter the secondary environment outside the family, the foundation of the personality has been well- formed. Socialization process would work well if the father and mother as parents can function well too. Father  and mother create a partnership pattern in which the  father has  equal rights to manage the household, especially educating children. Father (husband) can also perform  public and domestic roles. This means that even though the father plays his role responsibly as an income getter, he could also  serve the domestic affairs as the mother did.   This paper is the result of the research on the Role of Fathers in Early Childhood  Development in Labuhan Ratu Kedaton Bandar Lampung.The type of research is descriptive qualitative in which the researcher used this method in order to create an accurate and systematic description based on the facts about the role of fathers in the development of their children  particularly children under five. The result of the research shows that the fathers mainly play two roles in the family, i.e. public and domestic roles. Public roles refer to the income getter of the family, whereas domestic roles cover  stimulation, parenting, and education of the children. Keywords : Family, Roles of Fathers, Toddlers.
